Humanity Above All

Rishad Noor’s support for Palestine comes from a deeply human place: a belief in justice, freedom, dignity, and the equal value of every human life.

Having lived across different countries and cultures, he has learned that the world is often seen through inherited narratives, political interests, historical interpretations, and perspectives that shape how people think. He believes these narratives can be used to create division, justify hatred, normalize injustice, and turn people against one another.

He questions how history, religion, identity, and political narratives can be used to justify superiority, occupation, and the displacement of others. No identity, belief, or historical narrative should make one human being more entitled to freedom and dignity than another.

For him, Palestine is not simply a political position. It is a question of humanity. It is about people, their homes, their land, their history, their freedom, and their right to live with dignity.

He stands with Palestinians because he believes oppression should never become acceptable through the power of a narrative or the interests of those who hold power, no mater what their skin color is.

He believes we must learn to look beyond borders, religions, nationalities, and inherited narratives, and see one another as human beings first.

Because justice should have no nationality, compassion should have no borders, and human dignity should have no exceptions.

A personal statement

I do not choose a side based on religion, nationality, or identity. I choose humanity. And wherever human dignity is denied, I cannot remain silent.
